pieces. They were created
by the governor of the
Liaodong region. Because
they were found in the
Pingfeng (a folding screen
used to divide the room),
and the Xinpaifeng (a
paper board used by the
imperial guard) of Shenyang
Imperial Palace, so they
are so-called ¡° the Pingfeng
Archives and the Xinpaifeng
Archives¡±. They include
the official records (also
listed in China archives
and Documentary Heritage)
signed by Qiji Guang in
the 33d year of Jiajing
(1553 A.D.). Qi was the
special envoy of the emperor
to Shandong Province,
in charge of arresting
overseas thieves. Among
them is a marriage certificate,
foot printed by the bridegroom.
He sent this certificate
to the governor of the
Liaodong region in order
to accuse the bride of
deceiving marriage and
defrauding money. Also
there are official exam
sheets during the years
of Jiajing of the Ming
Dynasty, and the records
of important events occurred
during the first twenty
five years of Hongwu of
the Ming Dynasty. They
are also included in China
